Flashing News: God took selfies and it went viral

I bet you didn't take note of the headlines when it first happened but you were caught in the gist unknowingly. God took selfies and it went viral, cause men had wondered what it will be like, were they the only ones who had perfect selfie?

Wondered what God's Selfie looked like?

Wel, some years ago if you asked someone if they had a perfect selfie, they'll wonder - but today the word is envogue! Now the word 'selfie' has been added to English dictionaries.

The word “selfie” was declared the Word of the Year in 2013 by the Oxford Dictionaries. The word sprouted from a very simple concept that people around the world seemed to be fascinated by: holding your smartphone at arm’s length and pointing the camera at yourself.

Selfie defined: A photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded on social media websites.

For some the obsessive addiction - selfitis had become their route from defective self esteem etc.
Some folks are pretty compulsive about trying to capture the perfect selfie. They try different angles and expressions in an attempt to wow their social media friends. Some literally spend hours trying to get that perfect selfie.

Do you know we have one perfect selfie of God? We do – but not the kind taken by a smartphone.

You see God took a selfie and printed it out in 3D guess what it was like? Undisputably it was "YOU" See the account reported in the first chapter of Genesis ( Gen1:27). He went further to install in the first version of the selfie an operational system called Adam 1.0. A later system upgrade was now carried out when God took the perfect selfie printed in another 3D it was - Jesus, running on Adam last point zero!

God’s one perfect selfie was Jesus.  Hebrews 1:3 says, “And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.”

God didn't stop at that, like from the first selfie he printed copies in 3D, in the perfect selfie he printed you out again in 3D in fact the print is better than what you get from 3D machine printers! You see when you get this concept, there'll be no need fighting for acceptance, no need for 'selfitis' no need to be drowned in insignificance nor be consumed by the world and problems of life.

Are you born of God? If you are then:
Here's the shocker!
You're of God and have overcome the world! You carry God's DNA, you carry His abilities!

Infact you're God's Selfie, He should be smiling at you now!
Believe it!
Enforce it!
Your life is only a dress rehearsal, because you've won already!
At your worst you win, how about your best? The greater one is in you, how can you fail?
Next time you take a selfie, remember whenever God does, he sees you *winks*

If we are in Christ, then we become a selfie of God! He sees us whenever he does, but a mobile phone will be too small to capture it all. You should not even be defined by a smart phone either, this selfie has been printed out in the flesh, not just pasted on social media, you are that selfie and now see how the picture gets clearer and features of the print out work better like the original that was captured:

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

This is describing a metamorphosis, a transformation, as we become more like Jesus each day. This transformation happens, as we  spend time with God in His Word and in prayer, instead of spending hours on our smartphones. Rather than trying to engineer the perfect selfie, we stare bare-faced in the mirror of scripture to transform into the same image as Christ.

As this happens, we present our Christ-like selfie to those in our circle of influence, our social network so to speak. When people interact with us, they should see more and more Jesus as time goes by, and less and less of our “selfies”.
