School of the Spirit (2)

We continue with lead thoughts for this module, and hope to read your thoughts or input as well...

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" - John 20:27

The Holy Spirit passes  God's message on to our spirit, either by an inward witness, the voice of of our conscience - or by an inward voice,  the more authoritative voice of the HolySpirit. He doesn't speak out in the air somewhere: He speaks on the inside of us.

God relates with our spirit, not our mind or physical body. When He talks to us, He talks to our spirit. Our spirit knows exactly when God talks and what He’s saying, because our spirit knows God. His nature is in our spirit, and that’s where His light is as well: “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly" (Proverbs 20:27).

Our spirit was created to know God’s voice. God may not speak English, Ibo, Hausa, Yoruba, Urhobo, Isoko, Ikwere, Ogoni, Itsekiri or any other earthly language when He talks to us, but we’ll hear Him in our spirit in whatever language we understand. He’s a master communicator. If we’ve never heard Him, chances are, we’ve not been listening from our spirit or we haven’t trained ourselves to respond to Him.

Personally, my desire for this modules of school of the Spirit is to help us train ourselves to perceive, respond and align to His bidding.

God and His Word are one, and He speaks to us from His Word. Everything He says is always consistent with His Word. Therefore, the more we study His Word, the more you familiarize yourself with His voice, and are able to respond to Him when He speaks to us.

Now, since God relates with our spirit, our response to Him and to circumstances must also be from our spirit, for faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God. We must see ourselves from the perspective of God’s Word, and respond to circumstances, interpret and deal with issues according to the Word.

Now let's declare together:
In the name of Jesus I have the ability to hear and recognize God's voice. I walk in the spirit, and not in the flesh. My spirit is trained and energized by His Word to hear and discern His voice as I am led in glory, and righteousness.
